Homemade pins have become a common mainstay at anime conventions, often found at crafting tables. Now you can experiment with making your own using polystyrene. Polystyrene was commonly marketed in the 70s and 80s as shrinkydinks, but scientists have recently found new more advanced scientific uses for it. A team from Harvard and MIT used polystyrene to make self-assembling robots as recently as 2014! However, if crafting isn’t your thing, don’t worry. There will also be Nintendo consoles to play and snacks. Kokusaika is Japanese for “internationalization,” and that’s what this club is all about. If you’re interested in cosplay, anime, manga, gaming, etc., then this Japanese cultural club for teens is for you! This program is open to all teens ages 12 through 18. Cosplay is welcome.
