Baton Rouge Ballet Theater’s Youth Ballet presents an all-new production based on characters from the game Candyland, set to the music of Richard Strauss.
Join quibbling sisters Lolly and Polly as they must work together to find all of Queen Frostine’s missing gumdrops. As they dance through Candyland, they encounter Lady Licorice, the Duchess of Swirl, Miss Mint, Mama Ginger, and other delightful characters in this deliciously colorful, original, and new Youth Ballet production with music by Richard Strauss.
Baton Rouge Ballet Theater’s Youth Ballet comprises a select group of intermediate-level dancers in 5th-9th grade, chosen each spring in city-wide auditions. The young dancers receive professional-level training while charming area audiences with their highly anticipated productions.
