During the month of September, children who sign up for their first library card will be invited to add their name to our knowledge tree and pick a prize.
Signing up for a library card allows you to check out a world of resources, both in person and online. We have everything your kids are looking for—board books for the youngest readers, beginner books for those learning to read, digital databases for help with those science fair projects, and everything in between. If you don’t have a library card yet, don’t worry! Visit any library location and we will sign you up for a new card.
Marley Dias, author and founder of #1000BlackGirlBooks, is taking on a new role as honorary chair of Library Card Sign-Up Month. This September, she will join the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries nationwide in promoting the power of a library card.
