Show off your creativity and decorating flair! You might win a prize.
Starting Monday, November 14, visit the Gonzales library to pick up an 18” wire wreath to take home and decorate. Go for something classic with greenery, or make a colorful holiday explosion. We’ll showcase your finished design once you bring it back to us. Make sure you check out what others have designed and cast a vote for your favorite. We’ll have two winners – one patron pick and one staff pick. Winners will receive a $25 Amazon gift card, sponsored by the Friends of the Ascension Public Library. Merry crafting!
Contest rules:
- Entries must be submitted by Friday, December 9 at 5:00pm.
- Voting will take place Saturday, December 10, through Friday, December 16.
- Winners will be announced on Tuesday, December 20.
- All wreaths will be displayed until Monday, January 9, 2023.
- Wreaths not picked up by January 10, 2023, will be discarded.
Ascension Parish Library reserves the right to remove any item(s) deemed inappropriate.

Our Gonzales location was built in 1980 under the direction of Earline Decoteau, Director and serves as our Main Library location. It was expanded & renovated in 1996, 1998, and 2011, under the direction of Angelle Deshautelles, Director.
